The High School offers a curriculum with choice and flexibility, helping students aspire and achieve at the highest academic levels.
We see our students grow and develop to challenge learning boundaries, develop new skills and seek opportunities for success.
We are proud of our school’s success – being ranked in the top 15% of New South Wales schools based on the government’s ranking of all New South Wales schools Higher School Certificate (HSC) results.
Each year over 90% of our students, fulfil entrance criteria to enrol in universities and tertiary institutions, a pleasing achievement when the Hamazkaine Arshak and Sophie Galstaun School’s non-selective intake policy is taken into account.
Our curriculum offers a balanced program. The key learning areas, based on the requirements of the New South Wales Board of Studies introduced in the Primary school, are broadened to include electives such as Visual Arts, Commerce, Design and Technology, Computer Studies and Music. Religious Education has also been incorporated into our curriculum for students in years 7-10.
The School offers a choice from as many as 15 HSC courses. The school works closely with the Sydney Distance Education High School to expand the choices available to our HSC students. More recently the school has expanded its curriculum into the Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, through outside providers.
