| Hocus Pocus Encore! |  |
| | Last year our HASG drama club presented their first ever school play called Hocus Pocus, and what a successful event it was! We have now decided to put on a second show on Friday the 23rd of May at 2:00pm in the school hall. We would love to invite all parents, children and students to come along and experience a fun afternoon full of action, laughs and suspense! There will be popcorn and refreshments for sale before and after the performance. To raise money for our school to purchase better sound, lighting and media equipment, we will also be collecting gold coin donations from everyone who attends the event. | Happy Mothers Day! |  |
| | To celebrate Mothers' Day on Sunday 11th May, students from Kindy to year 4 spent their daily Armenian lessons learning about the value of the family and the significant role played by mothers. They also learnt to recite poems written by various Armenian poets, praising and appreciating old and modern-day mothers. Students also prepared beautiful cards to give to their mothers on Sunday as a small gesture to say how much they love them. More... |

| Dangerous Australians! |  |
| | Monday 5th May saw some 'unusual' visitors to the school! Live slippery, slimy, hissing friends in the form of brown snakes and tiger snakes were displayed to students with some 'hands on' participation! All sorts of information about other creatures such as jelly fish and box jelly fish, red back spiders and the like was given. We are pleased to report none of these 'friends' were left behind in the hall! More... |

| Year 6 Innovative Thinking |  |
| | On the 5th May, the Year 6 Captains and Sports Captains, organised soccer practice at recess and soccer matches at lunch. We split the Infants and Primary into two different groups. Kevork Mouradian (School Captain), Christine Berzekian (School Captain) and Saro Tahanian (Sports Captain), collected the registers and organised soccer practice and soccer matches for the Infant students. They enjoyed their soccer match - the Captains could see the smiles on their faces!! More... |

| Armenian Genocide/Anzac Commemoration |  |
| | On Wednesday 30th April, two solemn and inextricably linked occasions were marked by assemblies. The morning ceremony commemorated the Armenian Genocide through readings by students, a film clip of the commemoration as commemorated in Armenia and another clip of an Armenian-American rap artist that wrote a rap about the Genocide.
