Students are happier and participate in their education more effectively when their ideas are listened to and their opinions valued.

Schools also benefit when students are involved in their own learning and the school’s operation. A Student Representative Council (SRC) is one structure which can assist students and schools in achieving this ideal.

Our SRC for 2008 consists of:

Alycia Egulian (Yr10) - Sports Coordinator
Danna Manoukian (Yr11) - Canteen Officer
Antranig Der Tateossian (Yr9) - Environmental Officer
Antranig Shoukayan (Yr9) - Library Officer

The SRC works under the guidance of Ms Melanie Khashadorian and Mr Gregory Chahrozian.

Our main goals for this year are to provide a forum for student opinion, to develop leadership, to promote improvement in the school and most importantly to promote school spirit amongst students.

By working together, we believe these goals can be achieved and we look forward to seeing a great improvement in our school not only for us but for future generations of Hamazkaine School.
